Kerens ISD in conjunction with Navarro County Office of Emergency Management is in the testing phase of emergency radios. These radios can be used for KISD daily communication but most importantly, during an emergency, for direct communication between Local Law Enforcement, OEM and KISD personnel on site, for live information updates. Once, completed this system will be expanded by NC OEM for every ISD in Navarro County.

We are asking that our visitors park in the visitor parking off of Bonner Street. On the homeside of the stadium, we ask that you do not park in the grass at the practice field, or between the parking lot and the fieldhouse. We are going to attempt to allow more handicap parking inside the safety gate. Once that area is full, we will be blocking it off. We are aware that the new fencing is causing some issues, however that has been put up to keep our students and staff safe during the school day. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate the best possible way to park our fans on Thursday and Friday nights. Please do not park in the grass.

Monday night Kerens ISD lowered the tax rate for the 5th year in a row. The new rate will be $.98920 per $100 of property value. This is approximately a 19 cent drop from last year. Kerens ISD is committed to providing a well rounded, quality education to the children of our community; while being good stewards of the funds provided by the local taxpayers.

It's everything Kerens ISD in your pocket.
KISD would like to send out appreciation to the KHS Class of 1966 for their donation of a Bronze Bobcat to Kerens ISD. The Bobcat will eventually be mounted on a marble stand and placed in front of the Secondary School. It will serve as a beacon for those arriving on campus, a gathering place and as a great photo opportunity with the Secondary columns in the background.
